1. HENRY JAMES1
GUSNER was born May 1854 in Newark, New Jersey, and died
December 10, 1901 in Arcadia, Nebraska, of diptheria. He
married BARBARA ELIZABETH (LIZZIE) BAKER Unknown in
Illinois, daughter of WILLIAM BAKER and CAROLINE
UTTERBACK. She was born November 18, 1855 in Stringstown,
Richland County, Illinois, and died October 15, 1939 in
Long Beach, California.

GUSNER:
Henry spent his early
years in an orphan asylum in New York, after which he
was sent to Illinois. Lived for years in the family of
Thomas Pointing. He and his Wife can be found in the
1880 census taken in Stonington IL. They Move from IL to
Nebraska where they homesteaded a 320 Acre farm. This
farm was said to have been bordered by locust trees.
When in bloom they gave of a heavy fragrance. It's known
that he was a heavy worker and the farm was prosperous.
Family oral history relates that he brought the first
white Herford cattle into Nebraska. One bull cost
$10,000 which died in a winter Freeze. Henry James is
buried in the Lee Park Cemetery, near Arcadia Nebraska,
in Valley County. On gravestone - "Farewell dear Lizzie,
weep not for me, but to my children a mother be." Also
buried there is one of his sons Fredrick O Gusner, who
died as a child.

11-1-1900, then residing in Westerville, Nebraska.
"Lizzie" died of acute dilation of the heart. Sometime
after being widowed from Henry James Gusner, she married
Eldridge G. Robinson, who passed on before her as well.

Fredrick Uzel who was a childhood boyfriend whom Lucile
had known in the orphanage in Evansville, Indiana. In
his later years he approached the McCutcheon's to learn
the whereabouts of Lucile. They reunited to live the
rest of their lives together with a genuine romantic
affection for one another.

his railway career. Wonderful craftsman and mechanic.
His dream was to become an aeronautical engineer. Was
raised by his Aunt Bess, his uncle's sister Bessie Maude
Brundage.

Darrell obtained his
degrees in physics and chemistry with graduate work in
business applied research. He spent 25 years working
directly with the US government in highly classified
areas associated with submarine warfare.
He formed his own company,
integrated scientific systems, and for more than 10
years provided direct on site real time support for all
submarines in the Atlantic fleet, designed and developed
analysis work for all submarines in the Pacific fleet.
His work was also the focus of SATO treaty relations
with the Royal Australian Navy. His original design work
formed the first successful attempt to provide uniform
systems evaluation and certification of complete
submarine weapon systems that had ever been achieved.
His work, spanning more than 25 years, involved him at
the highest levels of the US Navy from Secretary of the
Navy to Torpedo man, working in forward torpedo rooms.
His expertise in systems analysis, weapon systems and
instrumented tracking systems or reconstruction of
exercise beneath the North Pole ice caps was termed by
the Royal Australian Navy as being the best kept secret
in the US Navy.
